The Configuration Wizard allows you to import .csv files to further customize or extend the initial configuration.
To import MiVoice Business data, create the required .csv import files using the MiVoice Business Import Spreadsheet (3300ICPImportSpreadsheet.xls) or load the spreadsheet into the wizard and let it generate all the .csv files in one shot.
To import users with UCC licensing into a MAS Release 5.0 or later system, use Roles and Templates and the Bulk User Provisioning tool in the MAS Users and Services application.
NOTE: To generate .csv files from the Import Spreadsheet, Microsoft Excel has to be installed on the PC you are using to run the wizard.
To generate .csv files from the Import Spreadsheet:
Click Generate from xls.
Browse to the completed 3300ICPImportSpreadsheet.xls file. A blank version of the file is provided with the wizard. Use the Open Import Spreadsheet link to open it.
The data for each of the worksheets in the spreadsheet file is converted to .csv format.
Click Next to continue.
To create .csv files from the 3300ICPImportSpreadsheet.xls file:
Open the 3300ICPImportSpreadsheet.xls file in Microsoft Excel. This file is provided as part of the wizard installation and is stored in the following directory:
C:\ProgramData\Mitel\Mitel Integrated Configuration Wizard\x.x\ImportSpreadsheet
Update the forms.
Use the tabs at the bottom of the page to select each form.
Check that the data entered is in the valid format by using the Check Data Format buttons.
Only the format is checked, not the actual content. If the content breaks configuration rules, it will cause errors when imported, even though the format is correct.
(Optional) In the Save to Directory box, enter the file location.
- or -
Click Browse to search for a file location.
Click Save for Import.
NOTE: When you Save for Import, you will generate a .csv file for each form. If you want to change the .csv file later (after saving it), you can edit it separately in Excel or a text editor. If you'd prefer to use the spreadsheet for updates, you can save the spreadsheet as an .xls file with all the desired forms. You can then modify the forms and generate new .csv files as required.
NOTES
Any updates to the .csv files must be made prior to import.
Importing csv files from forms that are were exported from a MiVoice Business system that uses a different Remote Directory Number Synchronization mode will cause the import of those csv files to fail. It is up to the user to provide the csv files in the correct sync mode format.
To import a .csv file:
Select Import additional forms from csv files.
If the check box is cleared, all field entries are ignored.
To add a .csv file, click Add, select the .csv file, and click Open.
The list order is irrelevant.
If you want to remove a .csv file from the list, select the file and click Delete.
Click Next to continue.
CAUTION: If you import a .csv file associated with a form that is modified by the Configuration Wizard, you will overwrite your wizard selections.
